Is this wrongful termination or pregnancy discrimination? Please help!!!?
I notified my employer that I was pregnant (about 4 months along) and three weeks later I was terminated due to “unsatisfactory job performance”. Keep in mind I live in Florida which is a right to work state, however, I was never given any warning my job was in jepordy. In fact, every reason that was given to me as a means for the employer to support the dicision to terminate me, is inaccurate if not completely false. I was employed in a male dominated industry, (Construction Equipment rentals-national company) with an outside sales rep’s responsibilities. I have had numerous complaints regarding this employer and after several instances finally called HR to file a complaint. The HR manager I spoke with was one of the names given as a source of support for my termination. There is so much more but this is the jist of my situation. Your help would be appreciated. I look forward to your responses. Many thanks to you all!!!!
You should go to the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (maybe called something different in FL) because even if it’s a right to work state, you are still protected under EEOC laws (Equal Opportunity) If it is found that they fired you because of your condition, they would be violating federal law. The website you can look at is:

Good luck, and gratz on the baby.
