It always amuses me when I find different spellings of Gantt Chart. Even I have made the mistake of spelling it Gannt Chart. But others have spelt it Ghant chart, Gant chart, and even Grantt chart! I have misspelt it 8 times below. See if you can spot them as you enjoy this article.
What is the use of a Gantt Chart?
A Gant Chart is a Timeline chart that is used in project management to show the project’s time schedule. Each task has its own duration, labor and materials assigned to it. You can see the sequencing of the tasks and view the overall timeline of a project. As the project moves forward and its actual performance is updated, the Ghant Chart will adjust automatically to display an up-to-date project schedule with new start and finish dates for the tasks.
A Gannt Chart will display arrows linking from one bar to the next. These are the dependencies between tasks where one needs to complete before the other starts.
How could you benefit with using a Gantt Chart?
- A Gannt Chart could be used to communicate with Staff and Contractors.
You could supply a Gannt Chart to staff and contractors to communicate when their services are required. It could also be used to communicate a common target or goal between the team players and set their expectation of when their involvement is required and when. - A Ghant Chart could be used to communicate with your clients.
You could show your clients your project plan and the expected completion date. Your clients can visually see the stages in the project and have a better understanding of the overall project and key milestones. - You could provide this Gant Chart in a tender proposal.
You could compliment your tender proposal with a professional looking Gant Chart. It will illustrate your understanding of the project requirements, and demonstrate your ability to plan and manage in the eyes of the tender evaluation panel. - You could run your project with greater efficiency and improve cost and time outcomes.

Finding clientelle for business cleaning?
We opened a business several months ago doing residential carpet and window cleaning and it’s done okay. We also would like to target construction window cleaning and the cleaning commercial windows and carpets.
We don’t really know how to go about this…Would I contact the property management companies? Is there anybody else you can think of? And is there a particular department I should address?

Then get on the phone to make an appointment and get yourself in front of your prospective clients.
