Can you take a previously register copy of Quickbooks and install it onto another computer?

and not register it? At work we are using Premier 2006 and are upgrading to Premier 2009 so that will leave 2 copies of 2006 to just sit around and collect dust. I was wondering if I could install it on another computer without registering it as I don’t need to have any sort of customer support, etc. just need it to do simple invoices as a contractor?

Nancy G: Thanks! Just what I needed. No need for updates, etc. It would be used for simple hourly billing as an independent contractor – don’t need anything fancy. Thanks again! Now you just have to wait the 4 hour minimum so I can give you best answer! :o )
Nancy G: Forgot to mention, the reason we upgraded is because 2006 is no longer going to be supported from all the messages I get from Intuit when I log on.

If you are the owner of the Premier 2006 version then yes you can install it on another computer AFTER you have uninstalled or upgraded to Premier 2009. If you are not the owner but you can get the owner to transfer ownership to you, then yes, you can install it. The transfer form can be found here:

The biggest benefit of registering (even) the 2006 version is for updates, fixes, etc. which would be downloaded after installation.
