A residential architect mulls over a number of aspects when designing a custom home. At the top of the list is the architect’s need to know the function of the home-to-be. A short sample of those questions may include…

  • How many people call it home?
  • Is it for a young family or one parent and a pile of teenagers?
  • Are you sizing up or down from your last home?
  • Is the family always home, or frequently away?
  • How frequently do you entertain and what age groups?
  • What about a home office or a business being run from the home?
  • Additionally, are eco-products, eco-construction and green energy a priority?
  • Does everyone need their own space, or is an open floor plan or great room concept more conducive to the inhabitants’ preferences?

Before designing the plans for your home, you and your architect must discuss your expectations to ensure they understand your vision and style preferences. Your residential architect should review current trends in style and function. As well as, be on hand to give you advice and answer any questions you may have before construction starts.

Your residential architect can create a perfect house for you. Designing a custom home gives you the freedom to choose a house that fits your exact needs in both functionality and style. While this option may be more expensive than buying a standard home, you can be sure that your new home fits you and your lifestyle.

There are many factors to take into consideration when planning and designing a new home; your architect should help you every step of the way and take charge of each phase.

where can my husband find a really good job in construction, logging, oil rigging, anything that pays good ?

we are willing to locate anywhere where within the US

OK. Pay attention.
Trade magazines are magazines that are distributed to companies doing logging, rigging, construction, etc. They might have them at a large library in your city. They are likely to have advertisements for work, and if you contact them, they are not going to jerk you around because they work closely with customers in THAT FIELD. That is the most reliable way.
There are also websites for ARBORISTS which is another word for tree cutters and lumberjacks. I have spent a lot of time at those sites, and the people are really good. Again, people there will not jerk you around, and they always need new people.

So if you do some careful research, the internet is a great tool. The trick is that if the con men come to you, you will get screwed. You have to get as close as you can to the company and the people who work for it.

Good luck.

Scoring a Saddle Notch for Log Cabin Construction

In by gone days all a contractor had to do was give the customer good quality and good service and he/she would be set. Then set back and let your customers do your selling for you. They would tell a friend and then that friend would tell a friend. Your phone would be ringing off the hook. I remember as an Architectural designer some days I would have up to four people wanting to schedule appointments for designs. Those days are long gone! But Fear Not! Click Here For Help
