Construct Some Fun Construction Birthday Party Activities

Whether your guests are doing construction birthday party activities or games, a Bob the Builder or Construction Zone party is sure to please your little workers. This is a super easy party to put together, as many of the activities just naturally fall into place.

Dirt Mover Relay – Split the kids into teams and give each team a bucket, shovel, and a pile of dirt. Put all the buckets at the finish line. Each player will take a shovel full of dirt from their dirt pile and walk or run it to their bucket and dump it in. Then they must run back to their teammates and hand-over the shovel to the next person in line. The game continues until one team has completely moved their dirt pile into the bucket.

Pin The Tools On Bob – This game is played like Pin the Tail on the Donkey except you use a poster of Bob the Builder and create tools out of poster board or cardstock. using double-stick tape, the kids try to pin the tools on Bob the Builder’s tool belt while blindfolded.

Digging For Trucks & Tools – Bury small plastic trucks and tools in a large mound of dirt. Give each of the kids a shovel and let them have at it! The object is to try and unearth the most tools.

Block Building – Prior to the party, prepare various sized empty cardboard boxes by taping them closed and painting them in various colors. Split the kids into teams and give each team the same number and size of boxes. The object of the game is to be the first team to build a tower using all of their boxes within the designated time. If the boxes start to fall, the team members may try to rebuild their tower as long as time permits.

Musical Trucks – This game is played like “Musical Chairs.” Decorate cardboard boxes to look like trucks. You will need to have as many boxes as you do kids. The boxes should be large enough for the kids to either sit or stand in. As the music plays, the kids walk around the “trucks.” When the music stops, the kids try to climb into a “truck”. Each time the music stops, remove one more “truck.” Whoever is the last person left in the game is the winner.

Construction Zone Obstacle Course – This game is only an option if you have sufficient space to create an obstacle course. Set-up various piles of dirt for the kids to go over, use caution tape to rope off a maze of walkways, orange cones for them to walk around, tires to step through, stepping stones to walk upon, etc.

These are just a few ideas to help you throw a fun and successful construction birthday party or Bob the Builder party. Lay a proper foundation with fun invitations, construct appropriate theme decorations, then build the thrill of it all into the party with exciting theme-related games and activities.

Tutoring little kids! help!!?

Im helping a 1st grader and a 2nd grader with their summer packets, but the 1st grader struggles some with the questions and thne he begins to become frustrated and then quits trying. He acts more like the older brother a lot, so i thought that information could help a little. And the 2nd grader is ok but he gets distracted a lot and always is focusing on tv and/or playing outside. that is why i gave them 30 minutes of recess and thats all he could think of and he got distracted again. so I need help. The boys are into Construction Building and trucks and automobiles, fourwheelers, dirtbikes, bulldozers, and etc. what can I do to fix the 1st graders determination and the second graders lack of focus. signed The Unexperienced Tutor

Create a chart where you give stars for small successes. Give the 1st grader stars for correct answers and for good attempts. Give the second grader stars for focusing on the tasks at hand. Whenever either of the boys earns a star, accompany the star with praise. Set a goal. For instance, after ten stars, give a small prize. It could be a small car, a super hero sticker, or something else to interest boys of their age. Make sure you don’t make either of them stay with a single task or assignment for more than about 30 minutes at a time. Between tasks, let them stretch, do jumping jacks, or something else physical. Boys need to move while they learn. In fact, if they are more comfortable standing at a table or kneeling while they work, that’s okay as long as the work gets done.

Good luck!

In by gone days all a contractor had to do was give the customer good quality and good service and he/she would be set. Then set back and let your customers do your selling for you. They would tell a friend and then that friend would tell a friend. Your phone would be ringing off the hook. I remember as an Architectural designer some days I would have up to four people wanting to schedule appointments for designs. Those days are long gone! But Fear Not! Click Here For Help
