Is an electrical contractor a good career?
its my freshman year at a junior college and im still undecided as to what major i want to pursue. What math level does this field require? annual salary? is this job in demand? I basically just want an overall description of this career. What interest me the most, is that this job requires a lot of physical work(from what ive heard) cause i cant stand sitting in an office all day doing paperwork haha. please help thanks!
My brother wanted to be an electrical engineer. His grades weren’t good enough, so his college let him into the Electrical technitian program. Long story short: he loves his job and gets to drive around all day and check up on those big power sub stations. He pretty much got all the maximum raises for his career within the first 5 years, and now he is making ridiculous money with WAAAAY too many vacation days. You should look into this field. Good luck and don’t beat yourself up if you try something and have to switch majors. Better to do this in college than later when you realize you hate your job!
