ESL-English as a Second Language falls under the end consumer

ESL or English as a Second Language is imparted to non native speakers from Asian countries and some parts of Europe. The purpose of the study is to communicate worldwide because English wins the majority.

Moving further, unlike other countries acquiring dialects from different regions and states with different sentence constructions including grammar, English is the simplest and constant. Incomparably, the regions and states in native speaking countries such as United States of America may be distinguished through the accent. However, there is no other language nor dialect but English. Therefore, nobody will get lost nor fear language barrier with it.

Why is English special not just as a language used in traveling, but in business and employment as well?

History is a long story to tell. Simplifying ESL and its value, language wise, the structure is monotonous. Grammar is steadfast. The complication gets in depending on expression or what is meant by vocally conveyed thoughts. Moving on, vocabulary changes through adaptation.

As the books say, English has two types-formal and informal. Apparently, informal English is spoken with friends, colleagues and people of same age or younger using casual words for daily conversation. Whereas, formal English is applied in dealing with the elderly, strangers and acknowledging superiors in the office environment.

The question may further be “If English is simple and uniform, then why do several people study, master and even take tests like TESOL, TOEFL, TOEIC and others? Is it not suppose to come in handy?

Imagine utensils in different shapes, sizes, quality, designs even colors. Identifying a knife, spoon and fork are so easy because they are invariable. Nonetheless, we don’t set the table with a complete set of 3 spoons from big to small per meal. Neither do we use sterling as a rule merely to eat our food. Nevertheless, utensils are a must in dining and besides, they are all alike.

My point is communication is to food and utensils are a language in the form of vocabularies and grammar necessary to make a sentence to utter and be understood. Utensils further figure out the WHQuestion suitable for the occasions, metaphorically speaking.

Synonyms, defined as words with the same meanings, are still gaged according to the context of the thought which is broad to discuss. Check examples below.

1. Yeah vs Yes

2. Whatchamacallit vs What do you call it

3. Repeating vs Reverberate

4. Changing vs Fluctuating

5. Got it! vs I understand.

6. Right! vs Precisely!

7. Nice! vs Wonderful!

8. Bossy vs Domineering

9. Have you eaten? Yup/Yeah! vs Yes, I have.

10. I’ll kick your ass! vs I’ll walk you to the door.

The few examples above are crystal clear to the use of daily, slang, jargon, formal and informal English. Alongside with it, awareness in stature and age group should matter the use of language.

To highly emphasize, the English language doesn’t discriminate nor remind the status quo of an individual. It is leveled to eliminate a barrier and miscommunication in a conversation.

Tests are required by English speaking companies to ensure quality of work in the form of dialogs. It further reassures the employer that the employee won’t have difficulties speaking out his ideas. In fact, I am looking at it as a security to protect oneself in any circumstance especially employees overseas.

On the employer’s side, he expects eloquence to perform a job effectively granting minimal supervision, micromanagement or vice versa, macro management.

To value the language better, ESL is not just literal. It is systematical. A fluent speaker may talk for an hour or so but nothing was said. Sense and sensibility may say it all in a sentence. Looking deeper, chosen terms, intonation and manner of delivery would suffice getting to know each other.

To wrap this up, going back to the metaphor about utensils, all cards are down. The orientation in the WHQuestion can surely be sieved, but in the long run, the user will always be the end consumer.

JOKE: Given three types of forks-plastic, stainless and sterling, which do you prefer? Would be keep them? Or would you reinforce your mastery, chopsticks or hands perhaps?

Love coupon book?

For Valentine’s Day, I wanna give my best friend/crush a love coupon book. I was wondering what I should put in it? I already have a free hug, a open tag (we play tag alot, and I think Ill let him get me easily ahha), and one free anything. I also have another question, how do you make one? I mean what do I need (I got Construction Paper, markers, writing utensils, scissors, stapler) How do I give it my personal touch?

So the questions I have:
What should I put in it? How do I give it my personal touch? and How do I make one?

NOTE: I am in 5th grade. So, you should know what I shouldnt have in there. He knows I like him, and he likes me. Since we are young, my book wont be very thick. =[ Should I include one free peck on the cheek? NOTHING SEXUAL. We have been together since the 2nd grade, and we have been as close as…umm.. paper and glue! haha

I want something cute and let him know how much I need him and like him. BTW, he is moving in March to Canada. *cries*

One free game of hide and go seek. This game is not childish as I have played it even in H.S and the thrill or the rush of being found is really fun to have.

One free Best-Friend Day where anytime your friend might be upset, especially with him moving, you two can havea day of fun watching movies together.

One Free Ice Cream Sundae Party Where at your house you two can make yummy treats out of ice cream and candy then take turns and see who made the tastiest treat.

One free peck on the cheek As you have suggested at your age this is fine and who knows he might rememebr you in the long run.

One Free video game fight of your choice Where if you two are into video games you have an al day marathon or a challenge which is fun when things get really competetive and you just have to burst into giggles.

One Free photo Where you two spend the day taking goofy pictures of each other with at least one serious one.

If you have any copies of photos of each other put one as the cover of your book, and yes make it out of maybe pink and White Construction Paper with maybe black marker for the writing and present ribbons on the side where you staple it, maybe also hole punch it and tie the ribbon between each hole.

New Construction utensils

In by gone days all a contractor had to do was give the customer good quality and good service and he/she would be set. Then set back and let your customers do your selling for you. They would tell a friend and then that friend would tell a friend. Your phone would be ringing off the hook. I remember as an Architectural designer some days I would have up to four people wanting to schedule appointments for designs. Those days are long gone! But Fear Not! Click Here For Help
