Construction Recruitment in the Middle East
Copyright (c) 2009 Ianson Internet Marketing
Construction recruitment in the Middle East is not as problem free as many would like to think. In fact it is quite challenging recruiting for this particular industry. There are numerous factors to be taken into consideration when trying to find the suitable individual or recruitment agency to supply companies with workers. Most often the Construction Industry is divided into various sectors that many know nothing about.
There is building, marine and engineering, construction, oil gas services, environmental, power, heavy industrial plant, water treatment, solid waste disposal, light and heavy industrial plants, mining, railways and water treatment to name a few. One would dare say the reason for difficulties in finding Construction Jobs in the middle east is down to the competition and government rules. It has nothing to do with the lack of qualified individuals but more to do with the growing competition and other factors wich will be discussed.
If one were to browse popular sites known for construction recruitment in the middle eastern area the job specifications and number of applicants applying for any one position says it all. One will quickly add that it is not only competition making the construction industry as volatile as it is now currently, but has to do with the bureaucracy and red tape that known governments in the middle east are exercising. It has been stated by a Middle Eastern construction expert Azad Hussain that shortage of construction workers or professionals will only impede Kuwaits bombing property industry. Hussain continues by adding that unlike countries like the UAE, Kuwait does not have the luxury of easy access to building resources and the existing labour problems are only worsening due to visa rules and regulations. In addition to all this he makes it known that construction practices, contracts and contract proceedures make everything move at a seemingly slower pace when compared to other Middle Eastern countries.
Another expert has reportedly stated that shortages being experienced by Kuwait in this sector is down to government policies as it relates to wokers obtaing work visas to enter the country. It is therefore not surprising that countries like Kuwait are looking for the intervention of government bodies like the Golf Cooperation Council for more lucrative opportunities in obtaining help with getting land which one would understand is the major ingredient for the construction industry to be relevant at any time. A recent study was carried out by the University of Wollongong and findings revealed that these shortages of skilled professionals are in fact affecting the Gulf’s very lucrative property market. With measures being implemented to combat these problems in the form of the earlier mentioned GCC the construction industry will be on its way forward.

In by gone days all a contractor had to do was give the customer good quality and good service and he/she would be set. Then set back and let your customers do your selling for you. They would tell a friend and then that friend would tell a friend. Your phone would be ringing off the hook. I remember as an Architectural designer some days I would have up to four people wanting to schedule appointments for designs. Those days are long gone! But Fear Not! Click Here For Help
