BaitRunner: Moving Forward With Shimano Reels

• Fishing. After making a cast, flip the BaitRunner lever to the BaitRunner On position to effectively fish your bait in controlled free spool. To set the hook, just turn the handle forward and the BaitRunner will instantly shift to Drag On. By doing this, the drag selected previously will take over as the fish is put in. The BaitRunner can be shifted manually by flipping the lever to the Drag On position.

BC Rich Eagle Bass One pros and cons?

Thinking of buying this guitar in a few months, I’ve heard mixed reviews but nothing really too bad or good. I’m buying it purely for the look and don’t have enough expertise on basses to know whether it’s features are good or not.

Jayce, Bass is my primary instrument. I also play guitar and keyboard. In my opinion you should never buy a bass guitar that only has one pickup on it. You need two pickups to get a variety of tones coming out of that bass. With one pickup, you have only your tone knob to control the tone. So you basically get three kinds of tone. Full treble, full bass, or in the middle. That’s it. With two pickups you have a lot more choices. You still have the basic three types of settings from your tone knob but, you have two pickups so you really have 3 x 2 settings. You also have a pickup switch that allows you to select either the neck or the bridge pickup (that’s your 3 x 2) or both pickups. That setting alone gives you 6 x 2 additional tone settings so you can adjust that two pickup bass to 18 different tone settings just from the bass guitar alone not counting your effects or amplifier capabilities.

The really interesting thing is that you don’t pay that much more for the second pickup but, you get a lot more in terms of sound. I also recommend that you get a 5-string bass. That extra low B-string that you could drop tune to a low A gives you so much more depth of sound. When you play a 5-string bass through an adequate bass amplifier (at least 200 watts) with a frequency response of at least 25 Hz (low A vibrates at 27.5 Hz) on the low end, you’ll be delivering a huge bottom end sound to your band. That’s very important if there are only 2 or three instruments in the group.

All the other specs on that bass look fine but that second pickup is a huge plus and so is that 5th string.
