Create Fun And Fabulous First Birthday Party Invitations

An invitation sets your party’s tone. It shouts, “Hey, the theme is…” Invites also create excitement as your guests look forward to attending a party. Of course, 1-year-olds won’t know the difference, but their parents will anticipate the fun. So, let’s get started by getting everyone in the first birthday party mood!

GUEST LIST

Consider the size of your home. Be sure you can accommodate all of the people you plan to invite. Also, you’ll want to be sure that your home is sufficiently baby-proof. Most importantly, be sure you have enough helpers for all the toddlers you plan on inviting.

PARTY PARTICULARS

Be sure your invites give your guests all the necessary party particulars. Birthday child’s name, age, time party starts and ends, date, location, (directions, if needed), and party theme. Don’t forget to provide RSVP info, which includes a contact name, phone number, and response date.

SPECIAL PARTY PARTICULARS

If you have any special requests or instructions to your guests, be sure to include them on your invitations. For example, you might want everyone to bring a high chair, which would keep all your little guests contained when it comes time to eat. If you’re having any water activities, you might tell everyone to bring a bathing suit and towel.

To help get you started, here’s some first birthday party invitation ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

#1 INVITATIONS

Make #1’s out of Construction Paper or cardstock. Write the party details on one side and your child’s name on the other. Decorate with fun birthday theme stickers or add glitter to the edges of the #1.

PHOTO INVITES #1

Using one of your party colors, cut 8 1/2″ x 11″ shiny cardstock into two pieces and fold in half. Using decorative scissors, trim the edges of a photo of your baby, so photo is slightly smaller than the cardstock. Glue photo to the front of the invitation. Put (Name) Is Turning 1! above the photo. On textured white scrapbook paper (finished size will be 4 1/2″ x 7 1/2″) either type or handwrite in calligraphy the party details on the left side.

PHOTO INVITES #2

Turn your invitation into a keepsake. Start with a piece of 12″ x 12″ scrapbook paper that has a fun print that coincides with your little one’s personality and cut it into four pieces. Glue 3-4 photos of your child onto the paper in a scrapbook fashion. Use fun borders, decorative scissors, stickers, etc. to embellish your pictures. Select photos of various ages ranging from newborn to the present age. Remember to leave room to add your party details.

FUN SILHOUETTE INVITES

Select something like a butterfly, monkey head, puppy head, cat head, or any other shape that your child likes and cut the shape out from one-half of a piece of construction paper. Create your invitation’s wording on your computer or write it out in calligraphy on a piece of decorative scrapbook paper that has a faint design and will coordinate with your chosen silhouette. Cut this paper about 1/2″ smaller than the silhouette, while keeping the basic shape as the silhouette. Glue the scrapbook paper to the construction paper.

BALLOON INVITATIONS

Blow up balloons that match your party colors and write the party details on them in permanent marker. Deflate the balloon and mail them to your guests with a note instructing them to blow up the balloon for a good time!

NEWSPAPER INVITES

Using scrapbook paper that looks like light newsprint, make your invitation look like a newspaper article. For the headline, put something like, (Name) Just turned 1! Then add a little story about the first year of their life.

On (date of birth), we were blessed with the birth of (Name). This past year she has outdone herself and has learned more then the average baby. For example, she not only crawls, but she walks! She can talk a blue-streak and loves to laugh and give her parents kisses. She drinks from a cup and practically cuts up her own food. She is simply amazing! You must see her in action; she is unbelievable. (Name) requests your presence at her very 1st birthday party.

Birthday Party ideas?

i did a mall scavenger hunt last year, and I wanna do something really fun(like that) this year. I was thinking of having my parents drive me and my 4 best friends to Tahoe and we would go inner tubing except its at least a 4 hour drive and my parents don’t wanna drive that far so we can play 2 hours and then drive back another 4, I was also thinking of doing laser tag, but i the closest one I found is kind of expensive and you have to invite at least 8 people which is fine but then it’s over $100, so any other ideas?

BTW-I’m turning 15 and my real birthday is in December 5th so swimming is out of the question-even in California, and my house is under construction so it can’t be at my house either.

I am experiencing the same predicament. I personally have been Snow-Tubing in Tahoe, and it is the BEST TIME EVER. You get to go about a bajillion times, and there is free Hot Chocolate. Laser Tag is not a favorite of mine. Have you thought about going to an amusement park? Haha, you should have a Quincenera, even if you are not Hispanic. Those are lots of fun, and lots of presents. Also, you could rent a place out and just invite a bunch of friends and throw a dance party! Hope this helps at all.

Ryudodeviln8’s 80 Construction and Birthday Party

In by gone days all a contractor had to do was give the customer good quality and good service and he/she would be set. Then set back and let your customers do your selling for you. They would tell a friend and then that friend would tell a friend. Your phone would be ringing off the hook. I remember as an Architectural designer some days I would have up to four people wanting to schedule appointments for designs. Those days are long gone! But Fear Not! Click Here For Help
