Blank Contractor Warranty Forms

Blank Contractor Warranty Forms

Are there different kinds of transferrable waranty’s on boilers?

I just wrote a check to a heating contractor who is going to install a new boiler in my home. Our buyer broker (person who is helping us sell our house and by a new one) said to make sure that we gat a boiler with a transferrable warranty. When I asked the contractor about this he said we would leave the warranty form blank and just have the buyer (if we sell our house) fill in the info when they purchase the house from us and then the warranty would be in their name. He called it an “In service date”.

Is this the same thing as a transferrable warranty, or is this just a way to achieve the same result for less money. Will this create problems if don’t end up selling the house for a few years.

Yes, it will create problems. Some warranties apply only to the purchaser. Also most of them require registration within a set time limit. This limit is usually 1 month. You need to do your homework and research before you buy. For more info, check out the boilers page at www.hvac-for-beginners.com

In by gone days all a contractor had to do was give the customer good quality and good service and he/she would be set. Then set back and let your customers do your selling for you. They would tell a friend and then that friend would tell a friend. Your phone would be ringing off the hook. I remember as an Architectural designer some days I would have up to four people wanting to schedule appointments for designs. Those days are long gone! But Fear Not! Click Here For Help
